AREA ATTRACTIONS

ENJOY ALL THE GREAT THINGS TO DO

Discover Elizabeth City and Beyond
Our prime location in downtown Elizabeth City offers endless possibilities for your stay, whether you're looking for relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both. Let us paint a picture of what your visit could include:

Start Your Morning Right
Begin your day with our self-serve continental breakfast, featuring convenient grab-and-go options like baked goods, cereal, breakfast bars, fruit, and yogurt. If you prefer a hot meal, take advantage of our abbreviated kitchen to prepare farm-fresh eggs your way (based on local availability).

Explore Downtown on Foot
Step outside and stroll through our charming revitalized downtown. Browse unique shops, dine at locally loved restaurants (we provide a curated list of recommendations at check-in), and immerse yourself in the local arts and history at Arts of the Albemarle and the Museum of the Albemarle. Wander along the scenic Pasquotank River waterfront, or plan ahead to embark on a Harbor Towns Cruise for a view from the water.

For upcoming events like First Friday ArtWalk, Music on the Green, or the North Carolina Potato Festival, visit www.VisitElizabethCity.com or www.ElizabethCityDowntown.com. We also host an annual Valentines Day Dinner (check out our Facebook page in January for details!).

Want to keep active during your stay? Take advantage of our partnership with Rick Anderson Fitness for 24/7 access to their downtown facility. We will send you information about this partnership after you book your stay, so check your email!

Unwind and Indulge
As evening falls, enjoy a taste of local nightlife. Sip craft cocktails and fine wines at area bars, sample microbrews like those at 7 Sounds Brewing Company, or relax with live music and great company.

Venture Beyond Downtown
If you're up for a scenic drive, explore the area's unique attractions:

  • United States Coast Guard Installation – A hub of Coast Guard history and operations.
  • T-COM Blimp Manufacturing Facility – A rare sight in aviation innovation.
  • Dismal Swamp & Merchant's Millpond State Parks – Perfect for nature lovers, offering kayaking, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
  • Rolling Farmlands & Windmills – Take in the picturesque landscapes of northeastern North Carolina.

Take a Day Trip
For those looking to explore even further, our location makes it easy to reach:
